Hindustan Copper is setting up a new copper rods manufacturing unit with a conversion capacity of 10000 tonnes/year. The name and location of the plant has not yet been decided. The project will be set up through a joint venture in which the private player will supply the technology and machinery and Hindustan Copper will market the product. As of September 2014, the project is in the conceptual stage and will be taken for approval in the next board meeting in November 2014.
