Cosmos Hydro Power is setting up a hydro electric power project at Chanju, Chamba in HP. The water of Chanju and Bhararu Khad would be diverted by a diversion weir and conveyed through 2.6 and 3.7 Kms of two Head Race Tunnels to a Surge Shaft and then from Surge Shaft to surface powerhouse wide 288 meters penstock to generate 19.80 MW electric power. As of October 2014, company is in the land acquisition stage for the proposed project.
