Power Grid Corporation of India is setting up a project for maintanance and construction of interstate transmission system. The project involves the construction of 765kV S/C transmission line between Salem - Madhugiri, under long term open access project (LTOA) as a part of the transmission system associated with IPPs of Tuticorin area. As of November 2014, company is in the process of scouting land for the project.
