Yeswanth Industrial Infrastructure Projects is setting up a thermal power project at Visakhapatnam. The coal-fired power plant will come up in three phases - 2x660 MW in each phase at Vempadu, Kagitha, DL Puram and Nellipudi villages in Nakkapalli mandal and it will require around 13.59 MTPA of coal, which will be imported from Indonesia. As of November 2014, environmental clearance for the plant in underway.
