Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation is taking up the Mumbai Metro-III Line Project, between Cuffe Parade in South Mumbai and Santacruz Electronics Export Processing Zone, at Andheri. The total project cost will be funded by the Maharashtra government (Rs 4,0170 Milion), Centre (Rs 3,4280 million) and JICA (Rs 13,3250 million). The over all project consist of 26 underground stations and the civil work is divided into seven contract packages. As of December 2014, bidding process is underway.
