The Metallic Alloys is taking up a project for modernizing its low carbon ferro alloys manufacturing unit in Siltara, Raipur. In the proposed project Slag from FeMn to be reused in manufacture of Silico Manganese as it contains high MnO2 and Silicon, Slag from FeSi to be used in cast iron foundries and Slag from SiMn will be used in road construction / slag cement manufacture. As of December 2014, environmental clearance for the project is underway.
