North Eastern Electric Power Corporation is setting up the Kopili Hydro Electric power project at Umrongso, Dima Hasao. As of December 2014, company has awarded the 275 MW Kopili Hydro Electric contract, worth Rs. 304.1 Million, to OM Metals, the scope of which involves design, fabrication, supply, erection and commissioning of spillway gates operated by electrically operated rope drum hoist, hoist bridge including associated civil works.
