Power Grid Corporation of India is setting up a power transmission corridor project, which connects Raigarh in Chhattisgarh and Pugalur in Tamil Nadu. The proposed transmission project will have an evacuation capacity of 6,000 MW covering 2,000 km. As of December 2014, PGCIL has been awarded this transmission project by Government of India.
