The projects are part of MAHAGENCO's plans to increase its solar generation base. As of December 2014, company has invited bids for the project on PPP basis also the company is planning to undertake the implementation of 50 MW at Kaudgaon, (Phase-II); 50 MW at Gangakhed; 80 MW at Mangladevi, Yawatmal; and 15 MW at Aanterveli, Parbhani, soon.
