Crown Mining (CMPL), a 100 per cent subsidiary of India Resources, Australia is planning to take up lead-zinc project in the Aravalli region of Rajasthan. As of December 2014, the company was administratively approved for mining lease by the state govt. The lease is expected to cover over 2,000 ha representing about 90% of the original application in this ecologically sensitive area. CMPL will be able to begin mining after it is approved by the state and central government.
