Public Works Department of Jammu & Kashmir is planning to take up an upgradation to four-lane configuration & strengthening of Jammu-Akhnoor stretch of NH-144A in Jammu & Kashmir. As of February 2015, bids has invited for carrying out feasibility study and detailed project preparation for the highway project.
