National Highway Authority Of India is setting up a project for widening and strengthening the NH 8A & NH 8B sections in Gujarat. The project involves the enhancement of Ahmedabad-Bamnabore-Samakhiali section of NH 8A, 12 KM to 306 KM, and Rajkot-Bamanbore section of NH 8B, 185.558 KM to 215.60 KM. As of February 2015, authority has approached MoEF for clearances.
