National Thermal Power Corporation is setting up a super thermal power project at Jyothinagar, Karimnagar in Telangana. The proposed project will take place in a phased manner. As of February 2015, NTPC has invited bids for design, engineering, manufacture, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning works for the steam generator island package for Phase-I (2x800 MW) of the power project.
