National Highway Authority Of India is setting up a project for the development and upgradation of Vijayapura-Kalaburagi-Humnabad section of NH-218 (new NH-50) in Karnataka. The project involves the development of highway section to two-lane with paved shoulders under NHDP Phase IV. As of April 2015, foundation stone for the project has laid.
