Northeast Frontier Railway is setting up a project for the construction of single line BG tunnel in Mizoram. As of March 2015, company has invited bids, for the construction of single line BG Tunnel No. 21 (App. length 630 RM) at 39.507 Km to 40.137 Km & Tunnel No. 22 (App. length 178 RM) at 42.752 Km to 42.930 Km in between Mualkhang-Sairang station in connection with construction of new railway line project Bairabi-Sairang in Mizoram.
