NTPC is planning to set up a 1320 MW coal based power project at Tandwa town, district Chatra in Jharkhand. The project will be on a pit-head with environment friendly super-critical technology. As of February 2013, The Cabinet Committee on Investment (CCI) has given a go ahead for the project.
