Soham Renewable Energy India is currently undertaking the construction of a mini hydel project (MMHS) located 2 km from the village of Mahadevpura, Mandya District, Karnataka. The project is a gated diversion weir being built across the river Cauvery with a capacity of 6 MW. The civil works is being undertaken by Sierra Constructions Pvt Ltd, Electro Mechanical Works is provided by B Fouress Private Limited and Transmission Line Works is provided by Vijaya Electricals. As of Feberuary 2013, The project is in advanced stages of development and is expected to be commissioned by July 2013
