'Narbheram Power & Steel belonging to Atha Group is planning to expand its sponge iron facility at Dhenkanal in Orissa. The project involves increasing the sponge iron capacity to 0.5 million tonne per annum (mtpa) from 0.1 mtpa. The capacity of captive power plant (CPP) at the plant site will also go up from 8 MW to 80 MW. As of March 2013, the project is still in the planning stage.
