'NTPC has reported progress on its Darlipali super thermal power projectat Darlipali village of Sundergarh district of Orissa. The 1,600 Mw plant will be fed by Dulanga coal mine allotted to the company and water will be provided from Hirakud reservoir.The company is planning to re-invite tenders for turbines as the original bidder BGR Energy last week pulled out from supply commitment citing clearance issues. As of March 2013, the company is in the process of acquiring land for the project. The company plans to complete the project four years after land acquisition.
