State Power Corporation of Punjab is implementing the Mukerian hydel power project in the state. The project comprises the installation of 18 MW energy from two units of 9 MW each. For the project electro-mechanical works has executed by Bharat Heavy Electricals on EPC basis. As of April 2015, project is in advanced stages if implementation.
