ASR Multimetals is planning to set up an expansion project at its Chhadwada steel plant, Bhachau, Kutch. The project involves increasing the production capacity of MS rods, wires, flats, Steel Billets / Ingots, Sponge Iron and Re-Rolled Steel Products of MS etc along with generating additional power from from AFBC Boiler (coal base) and WHRB (Waste Heat Gases from Rotary Kiln). As of April 2015, company has approached MoEF for clearances.
