Vardhman Special Steels is setting up a project for productivity improvement through technology up-gradation of the steel melting shop with electric Arc Furnace at Industrial Focal Point, Ludhiana. The project involves the capacity augmentation of steel from 125000 TPA to 200000 TPA. Pig iron, Lime, 2 DRI / Sponge Iron etc are the raw materials required for the project. As of April 2015, company has approached MoEF for clearances.
