Power Grid Corporation of India is setting up a 400/220 kV GIS substation at Navsari that will carry power generated at the Kakrapar Atomic Power Station.The substation will feed power to the national grid. As of May 2015, the turnkey contract to execute the project has been awarded to Alstom. All equipment will be manufactured and supplied from Alstom T&D India’s manufacturing facilities in India.
