National Thermal Power Corporation has reported progress on its Telangana Super Thermal Power (TSTP) project, Stage-I in Ramagundam. The project Stage-I of 2 x 800 MW will come up in the existing area of NTPC, in Ramagundam while the stage-II project of 2,400 MW will be installed in Nalgonda district. The water will be drawn from the Sripada Yellampalli project in Ramagundam mandal and the coal linkage for this super critical power station will be done with the Singareni Collieries Company (SCCL). As of May 2015, The Telangana State Pollution Control Board will conduct a public hearing on shortly for implementing the project.
