Tamil Nadu Generation & Distribution Corporation is planning to develop Sillahalla Pumped Storage Hydro-Electric Project in Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu. As of May 2015, TANGEDCO has invited bids for preparation of the detailed project report, obtaining engineering consultancy services for preparation of EPCC tender specifications, and other pre-contract services for Sillahalla pumped storage hydro-electric project Phase-I.
