Maithan Alloys is planning to take up an expansion programme at its Ferro Alloys plant in Burdwan district of West Bengal. The project involves Refining of Ferro Alloys in 3 X 5 T Electric Arc Furnaces (54,000 TPA), Calcination of Manganese Ore in 3 X 80 TPD Shaft Kilns (86,400 TPA) & Generation of Producer Gas (2,850 Nm3/hr) ha. As of June 2015, environment clearance for the project is underway.
