Neyveli Lignite Corporation is taking up installation of 2X500 MW units of Lignite Based Thermal Power Station at Mudanai village in Vriddhachalam Taluk Cuddalore District of Tamilnadu. As of July 2015, NLC has invited bids for Preparation of Rapid Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Management Plan (EIA-EMP) Report and Social Impact Assessment (SIA) Report for the proposed project.
