Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation is implementing a power transmission project at Mittemari in Chikkaballapur district. As of July 2015, KPTCL has awarded the contract for establishment of 2x100MVA (mega volt amp) 220/66KV and 1x12.5MVA 66/11KV substation along with construction of three 220—KV terminal and one 66—KV terminal bays and associated 220 KV and 66 KV lines to Bajaj Electricals.
