Jawaharpur Vidyut Utpadan Nigam, a 100% subsidiary of UPRVUNL is planning to set up a coal based 2x660 MW Thermal Power Plant at Jawaharpur in District Etah in Uttar Pradesh. Coal requirement for the project is estimated at 5.52 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). Power generated from the proposed plant shall be evacuated at 765 and 400 kV. As of October 2015, environment clearance for the project is underway.
