UJVNL is planning to set up a develop the 660 MW Kishau hydroelectric power project in Uttarakhand jointly with Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation. The project envisages construction of a 236 metre high concrete gravity dam with a 660 MW capacity power station across Tons River, a tributary to the Yamuna. As of August 2015, both the companies are trying to form a special purpose vehicle to set up the project.
