Ramco Cements which operates a Cement plant at Alathiyur in Ariyalur district of TN is planning to expand its captive power plant capacity by an additional 6 MW turbine. The project will be completed in 12 months after obtaining all statutory clearances. As of October 2015, the project is awaiting clearance from state pollution control board.
