Tata Sponge Iron is planning to set up a 12.5 MW Thermal Power Plant of TSIL using the waste generated from their existing sponge iron plant in Keonjhar District of Odisha. Originally the company had proposed to set up a 25 MW capacity but has revised the capacity. As of October 2015, environment clearance for the project is underway.
