Indian Oil Corp's Gujarat Refinery is planning to set up a new reverse osmosis plant project at its 13.7 MMTPA refinery.The RO plant will maximize reuse of treated effluent by improving its quality and thus reduce fresh water consumption considerably. As of November 2015, work on the project has commenced.
