Kerala State Electricity Board is planning to take up scaling up of the 110 kV sub-station at Aluva and to draw 220 kV double-circuit line to it from the 220 kV sub-station in Kalamassery which will cover a distance of 8 km. As of December 2015, the Board has given approval for the project.
