Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation is planning to plan to widen the 140-km long Vakan-Pali-Khopoli highway from 2-lanes to 4-lanes. The project is estimated to cost Rs.5000 Million. As of December 2015, MSRDC is awaiting state government's approval for preparing feasibility report and only at a later stage actual construction work would commence.
