Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam is planning to develop a 10 MW canal top solar photovoltaic grid-connected power plant using Crystalline Silicon Technology on Vadodara branch canal between Ch 12.435 km to 31.630 km. As of December 2015, the EPC contract for executing the project has been awarded to Ujaas Energy. The project is to be commissioned in July 2016.
