NMDC is taking up doubling of the Kirandul-Jagdalpur railway line to increase evacuation capacity by rail from Bailadila from 28 mtpa to more than 40 mtpa. The company has reportedly entered into an agreement with Indian Railways for this project. As of December 2015, the project is under implementation.
