Vikram is planning to take up an expansion programme at its steel plant in Sundargarh district of Odisha. The project involves enhancing the DRI production to 72,000 TPA, 0.12 MTPA Induction Furnace with CCM & LRF and 0.1 MTPA Rolling mill to produce TMT bar for sale with 10 MW power plant in Phase-1, 0.25 MTPA Pellet plant in Phase-2 and 0.85 MTPA beneficiation with 0.35 MTPA pellet plant in Phase-3.. As of January 2016, environment clearance for the project is underway.
