Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has reported progress on its proposed Goregaon-Mulund Link Road project in Mumbai. Work on the link road project is scheduled to begin from April 2016. In the first of three phases, construction of the road over bridge (RoB) in Nahur will start, following which widening and removal of encroachments on the 150 metre A K Vaidya Marg will be conducted. As of January 2015, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, has appointed a consultancy firm Pedico, Japan to prepare the detailed project report to design and plan the 6 km tunnel which is is a part of the proposed link project. The tunnel will be constructed in the final phase.
