Karnataka State Highways Improvement Project belonging to Government of Karnataka, Public Works, Ports and Inland Water Transport Department is planning to take up construction of asphalted shoulder at selected locations of the two lane asphalted road of 7 metre width on Channagiri-Birur stretch in Mysore district. As of January 2016, work on the project has commenced.
