indal Steel & Power has reported progress on its six million tonne per annum (mtpa) greenfield steel plant at Angul. As of May 2013, the company expects to start operations of its steel melting shop (SMS) by June 2013. The first phase of the project with a capacity of 2.0 million tpa is to be
commissioned in September 2013.
