UJVN has reported progress on its 120 MW Vyasi Hydro Power project in Dehradun district of Uttarkhand. The Vyasi HEP Hydroelectric Power Project is located downstream of Lakhwar dam in the Dehradun District of Uttarakhand state on Yamuna River on NH 123 (Delhi – Yamunotri). The project envisages a run-of-the river with diurnal peaking power plant comprising a reservoir, a concrete gravity dam, an intake structure, a headrace tunnel, a valve chamber, pressure shaft, surge shaft ,surface power house and an outdoor switchyard. As of January 2016, UJVN has awarded the contract for detailed engineering & designing, procurement, manufacturing, site erection, installation, testing & commissioning of hydro mechanical works to Om Metals Infraprojects.
