North East Frontier Railway is planning to develop a 1 MW wind power project at Lower/New Haflong, North Cachar Hills district in the state of Assam under Lumding Division of N.F. Railway. As of February 2016, NF Railway has invited expression of interest bids for study, design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and operation of wind mill of capacity 1 MW under PPP (Public Private Partnership).
