Neyveli Lignite Corporation is planning to set up a 50 MW solar power plant at an estimated cost of about Rs 3706 million in Andaman & Nicobar Islands. As of February 2016, NLC has proposed to sign an MoU with the administration of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and proposal is still under scrutiny.
