'Oil & Natural Gas Corporation is planning to set up a 2,200 Mw gas based power plant in Maharashtra. The proposed 2,200 MW gas-based power project requires 350 acre of land, as well as 8-9 mmscmd natural gas. The company has reportedly appointed Cholamandalam MS Risk Services as consultants for clearances required by various government agencies. As of May 2013, the project is awaiting clearances from the ministry of environment clearances.
