Noida Power Company, in association with The Noida and Greater Noida authorities is planning to set up an 1 MW solar power plant in Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh. The company will shortly sign a tripartite MoU with Noida and Greater Noida authorities to purchase electricity produced at the proposed solar power plant. Greater Noida Authority will provide the land required for setting up the plant. As of May 2013, around 4.5 acre of land has been identified in Sector Pi-4.
