GVK Power & Infrastructure has reported progress on its Phase I of Goindwal Sahib thermal power project located in Tarn Taran district of Punjab. As of May 2013, the project is in the advanced stage of commissioning. Meanwhile, GVK Group is planning to develop Phase II with 2x660 MW capacity of thermal power project at the same location, taking the installed capacity to 1,860 MW.
