'West Bengal Highway Development Corporation is planning to take up 4-laning of the Dankuni-Chandannagar section of state highway-13. In Phase-I, WBHDC intends to widen the 20 km stretch from Dankuni to Chandannagar on Delhi Road. Phase-I involves development of Dankuni to Chandannagar road in Hooghly district, while Phase-II involves development of Chandannagar to Barojaguli road in Nadia district. WBHDC will commence work on Phase-I by September 2013. As of July 2013, bidding process is underway.
