±200m high (above river bed level) and conveying the water so diverted through 5.70m dia modified horse shoe shaped, concrete lined tunnel to an underground restricted orifice type surge shaft. From the Surge shaft, the water shall be conveyed through a steel lined pressure shaft to an underground power house located on the right bank Bhaga near Stingri village. The four machines of 75 MW each shall be installed in the power house for generation of 300 MW of power. As of March 2016, environment clearance for the project is underway.
