Solar Energy Corporation of India is planning to set up solar wind hybrid project at Rangreek village in Kaza subdivision, Lahaul Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh. As of March 2016, SECI has invited bids for design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, commissioning & operation and maintenance for 3 years of grid connected 2 MW solar, 0.5 MW wind hybrid project with 1 MWh energy storage system.
